Ceramides - fatty substances that are part of the lipids of the stratum corneum, performing a protective function. They protect the skin from excessive water evaporation from deeper layers. They contribute to increased skin hydration and proper elasticity. They are also an important component in „anti-age” therapies. In the stratum corneum they form a kind of „wall” that also protects against external factors such as UV radiation, allergens or microorganisms.

Additionally, in Cream IQ1 you'll find:

Squalane - a component of the lipid mantle, forms a protective layer and supplies fatty acids.
Shea oil - reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
A concentrated blend of ceramides , free fatty acids...
Phytosphingosine, squalane - support proper regeneration, strengthen natural defence mechanisms and improve hydration.

These ingredients supply cells with energy, stimulate metabolic processes weakened by UV radiation, and at the same time protect cellular DNA from damage.

Arginine - an amino acid particularly important in caring for very dry and atopic skin, strengthens the hydrolipidic barrier, especially recommended after invasive treatments such as chemical peels and lasers, accelerates wound healing.

NMF - low-molecular-weight, water-soluble compounds, which include:

pyroglutamic acid and its salts - a natural component of human skin
Sodium PCA - an effective humectant, retains water in the skin, prevents its loss and absorbs water from the air, ensuring the right level of skin hydration; works more strongly than traditional cosmetic substances such as sorbitol or glycerin,

Additional NMF ingredients:

urea - a natural by-product of protein metabolism, responsible for hydrating the stratum corneum; in concentrations up to 10% it accelerates cell division of the granular layer and thus its regeneration, has emollient properties and increases the permeability of the stratum corneum, facilitating the penetration of actives into deeper layers; in concentrations above 10% it acts as an exfoliant and regulates the keratinisation process.
lactic-acid salts - maintain the proper pH, soften, hydrate,
